Q. Am I eligible for Home Health Care under Medicare?
A. You must meet the following criteria:
- Physician approval for all services and equipment
- Patient must be homebound
- Patient must require skilled nursing/therapy
- Supervised home health aide services include help with personal hygiene
Q. What does Medicare cover?
A. With physician approval Medicare covers:
- Skilled Nursing
- Medical Social Worker
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Therapy
- Intermittent Certified Home Health Aide Service
Q. Does Medicare cover companion care?
A. No, Medicare only provides intermitted health aide visits that must
supervised by skilled nursing or therapy.
Q. If am admitted to the hospital, does Medicare still cover my homecare service?
A. Yes. You would be put on a fourteen-day (14) hold and Medicare will cover services upon discharge with doctor approval.
Q. Do you accept secondary insurance as a supplement to my Medicare?
A. The agency accepts Medicare as payment in full. We do not bill a secondary insurance.
Q. Can I pay for services if I don’t have Medicare?
A. Yes. We accept private pay, please contact the agency for details.
